In the third quarter of 2025, the music and audio app sector on Android in Russia showcased some interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, here's a breakdown of the performance of the top 5 apps in this category.

Zvuk: HiFi music, podcasts saw a varied trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 137K and peaking at around 165K by the end of September. Weekly active users showed a steady increase, reaching over 3.2M by the end of the quarter.

Yandex Music, Books & Podcasts maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers fluctuating between 121K and 143K throughout the quarter. Active users increased steadily, ending the quarter with around 24.2M users.

VK Music: playlists & podcasts experienced a rise in downloads, particularly in mid-September, reaching nearly 100K. Active users also showed an upward trend, peaking at approximately 4.3M before a slight dip.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts had consistent weekly downloads, averaging around 50K. The active user base showed some fluctuation but remained strong, closing the quarter with about 6.4M users.

StarMaker: Sing Karaoke Songs saw a significant spike in downloads at the start of July, reaching over 118K, before stabilizing to around 51K by the end of the quarter. The app’s active users fluctuated, with a noticeable peak in mid-September at approximately 757K.
